Information on the use of cookies

In accordance with the decision of the Italian Data Protection Authority of May 8, 2014, regarding “Identification of simplified procedures for the information notice and acquisition of consent for the use of cookies,” www.saglietti.it provides the following information, which is to be considered as an annex to the more general privacy policy available on this page.

General information about cookies

When you access www.saglietti.it or use one of our services, our system may set or read cookies and/or other types of identifiers relating to the browser and/or device you are using.

A cookie is a small text file stored on the computer of the user visiting a website in order to record certain information relating to the visit and to create a system for recognizing the user at a later time. Device identifiers, on the other hand, are generated by collecting and processing information such as the IP address and/or user agent (browser version, type and version of the operating system) or other device characteristics, always for the purpose of linking certain information to a specific user.

A website can set a cookie on the browser only if the browser’s preferences allow it. It is important to know that a browser allows a specific website to access only the cookies set by that website and not those set by other websites: there is no risk to your privacy in this regard.

Practices relating to cookies and similar technologies

www.saglietti.it may use cookies or other types of identifiers for various reasons, including:

• tracking user preferences while using the website and/or services incorporated in or connected to it;
• performing statistical analysis (analytics) regarding the use of the website and/or incorporated services;
• conducting research to improve the content, products and services of www.saglietti.it.

www.saglietti.it does NOT directly use any profiling cookies: the only cookies generated and managed directly by www.saglietti.it are so-called technical cookies (used exclusively to properly provide the services offered to the public) and, to a very limited extent, analytics cookies (used to count page views and/or for other statistical purposes). However, users are informed that profiling cookies may be generated by third parties through our pages (see “Third-party cookies”).

www.saglietti.it integrates third-party services within its pages that may set and use their own cookies and/or similar technologies. The use of such cookies and similar technologies by these companies is governed by their respective privacy policies, as www.saglietti.it has no control over the management of such tools or the processing of related data.

Google Analytics cookies

This website uses the Google Analytics service in order to obtain comprehensive and reliable statistics regarding website usage. To ensure the highest level of user privacy, IP anonymization has been enabled (Google Analytics anonymizes the user’s IP address at the earliest possible stage of data collection).

The Data Controller has accepted the Google Analytics Data Processing Amendment made available by Google in compliance with Directive 95/46/EC. Under this amendment, Google guarantees that it processes personal data recorded through the service only according to the instructions provided by the website operator and does not share them with other Google services unless explicitly authorized by the Data Controller.

Advertising features and data sharing with Google have not been activated, and Google Analytics has not been linked to any additional services. Therefore, processing is carried out solely for statistical purposes and, in accordance with the provisions of the Italian Data Protection Authority, analytics cookies are treated as technical cookies and installed without prior user consent.
